Modern Classicisms: Classical Art and Contemporary Artists in Dialogue

The workshop examines the legacy of classical art from the perspective of contemporary artistic practice. It launches a larger project at King’s, including a major exhibition at Bush House (2 March – 30 April 2018). Further information can be found at www.modernclassicisms.com
The event will be structured around a range of thematic sessions – each opened with a short intervention, followed by a panel response and group discussion. Speakers include not only classicists and art historians, but also curators, critics, journalists and artists.
