Performance [in] Pieces

This conference aims to consider dramas from ancient Greece and Rome that now exist in fragmentary form and their subsequent reception throughout time, be it on the stage, screen or page. By examining both what is left of the original play and how it has inspired new responses, we hope to discover what can be learnt from what has been lost, and what appeals to those who are inspired by these ancient works.
