The Brave New Classics project now has a new series of the Conversations on Communism podcast to celebrate the ten year anniversary of BNC. The new series, Οι Άλλοι: Antiquity and The Greek Left in the Twentieth Century, is hosted by Anna Coopey and produced by Zofia Guertin (editor) and Henry Stead.
The Conversations on Communism podcast is about culture and the 20th century communist left. So far it has focused on regions in which communism was countercultural (Britain and Greece). Since it is part of the Brave New Classics project it has a strong tendency to investigate the modern reception of Greco-Roman antiquity, but as you’ll discover, it isn’t all about classical reception.
There are currently two podcasts available with interviews from prominent scholars of Greek antiquity and modern Greek history. The rest of the series of podcasts will be released monthly, so please subscribe via the BNC website: bravenewclassics.info.
